Medical Care

The Hospital of Hope was established to meet the medical needs of the community. The hospital currently consists of a fully operational outpatient clinic, mobile clinic, prosthetics lab, and a community health program. Future plans for Mission of Hope include expanding our hospital facility to further meet medical needs.

Our desire is to minister through medicine to as many people as we can. Through the Hospital of Hope, we are able to serve the needs of the people of Haiti, and bring about physical healing.

Currently, the Hospital of Hope consists of an outpatient clinic, mobile clinic, prosthetics lab, and a community health program. We are also in the process of expanding the hospital facility, which will allow us to have a surgical unit and 24 hour emergency room.

Clinic of Hope

At the Clinic of Hope we typically treat between 70-100 people each day. Daily our medical team of Haitian doctors, pharmacists, lab techs, and nurses are there to serve the people of Haiti. We are able to provide quality medical and dental care to many unreached communities that have no other access. We also operate one of the only ambulances in Haiti, which expands our ability to serve, particularly in trauma situations. The clinic is equipped with a pharmacy, lab, dentist facility, urgent care center, and operating room.

Common illnesses that are treated at the clinic are malnutrition, malaria, anemia, gastritis, and high blood pressure to list a few. There are many that have injuries and open sores that if not treated could cost them their lives. Daily the Clinic of Hope staff members are saving lives that would have been lost without their help.

Mobile Clinic

Many people that are in Haiti are unable to travel to the Clinic of Hope due to distance, sickness, and/or finances. With our mobile teams we are taking the clinic to them, by leading teams into the mountains and remote areas.

Prosthetics Lab

After the devastating earthquake in 2010, Mission of Hope began a prosthetics lab to help the many amputees throughout Haiti. At this facility, patients receive prosthetic limbs as well as much needed physiotherapy. To learn more, please visit our prosthetics page.

Community Health Program

The goal of the community health program is to educate Haitian communities about healthcare. Many community health sessions focus on proper hygiene methods, to help prevent the spread of sickness and disease. Doctors and nurses also teach simple home treatments for minor health issues, as well as educate the community on which symptoms require advanced medical attention.

Get Involved

Many North American medical teams come to Mission of Hope to bring expertise in their fields. These teams are an important part of the medical ministry in Haiti. If you are a medical professional who would like to get involved, we would love to hear from you.
