What We Do

As an organization grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ, we seek to daily serve the people of Haiti and bring hope to the hopeless. We are there to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people, and lay the foundation for positive change. Below are many of the ministries in which Mission of Hope is involved.

Ministries

Church Advancement

Through the Church of Hope and other partnering churches, Mission of Hope strives to bring the hope of Jesus to the Haitian community.

Education

Quality education is vital in our effort to improve the economic structure of Haiti. The School of Hope has approximately 2,500 students enrolled per school year in Kindergarten through High School. The school is very highly ranked based on governmental test scores, and each child is taught the gospel on a daily basis.

Medical Care

The Hospital of Hope was established to meet the medical needs of the community. The hospital currently consists of a fully operational outpatient clinic, mobile clinic, prosthetics lab, and a community health program. Future plans for Mission of Hope include expanding our hospital facility to further meet medical needs.

Orphan Care

There are over 60 wonderful children currently at the Village of Hope orphanage. The Village of Hope provides a loving home and 24 hour care for these children. Children come in hopeless, and through Jesus, they now have great hope, both for this life and all eternity.

Nutrition

Malnutrition is a serious problem in Haiti, especially among children. Through partnerships with other organizations, Mission of Hope is able to help feed over 50,000 meals a day to children in schools and orphanages throughout Haiti.

Disaster Relief

Mission of Hope is located in Haiti, and thus is able to be a first responder when disasters occur. Our infrastructure allows us to deliver food and water quickly to those in need, as well as medical care to the sick and injured.

Cholera Relief

In keeping with MOH’s mission to bring life transformation to every man, woman and child in Haiti, we have been working hard in response to the Cholera outbreak in this country.

Earthquake Relief

When the Earthquake hit on Jan 12, 2010, Mission of Hope’s response to the disaster was immediate. Within twenty minutes we were treating earthquake victims in our clinic, and within 24 hours we were providing food and shelter to thousands in need.

Home Construction

Mission of Hope, in partnership with Hope for Haiti, began a project in 2010 called MOH 500. The goal is to build 500 new homes for families in the next two years. The homes will be given to families in need, including those who lost their homes during the earthquake.

3 Cords

3 Cords is a small business initiative that started in 2010 after the devastating earthquake left many people without limbs and without jobs.

HaitiOne

HaitiOne is a ministry started by Mission of Hope with the goal of uniting missions/organizations throughout Haiti. Through this unity, we can all be more effective in bringing positive change to Haiti.

Future Plans

As we look towards the future, we have many plans in place to better serve the Haitian community. Every plan focuses on our overall vision to bring life transformation to every man, woman, and child in Haiti.
